Russ Schinzing, President

About Our President

Russ Schinzing is a 20+ year veteran in the area of electronics remanufacturing. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, he started his career at Cardone Industries, the world’s largest privately owned independent remanufacturer.

“If it was easy, everyone would do it”

Working his way up in leadership from a product engineer to the General Manager of the electronics remanufacturing division, Russ was responsible for Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply, and Marketing, with a dotted line to Finance and HR. His accomplishments while there were many and widespread; designing the test stand still in use today, developing the entire TS16949 engineering standards, developing, managing, and selling 2 multi-million dollar OE contracts to a large Tier 1 and OEM, and diversifying the company into non-automotive repair markets. Under Russ’ leadership, Cardone went from a small startup electronics remanufacturer to the market leader in the independent aftermarket channel, selling every major distribution outlet except one, and was the electronics remanufactured parts supplier for a major domestic OEM brand.

“Anything is possible, with enough time, money, and desire.”

In 2006 Russ left Cardone Industries to assist Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing in developing electronics remanufacturing capabilities. Russ took a largely “test-and-ship” business, and built, in three short years, a major player in the OE electronics remanufacturing market. Under Russ’ leadership, DMR tripled in size and quadrupled in profits.

In January 2010, Russ quit Detroit Diesel to start his own electronics remanufacturing company, ERC, LLC. ERC stands for Electronics Remanufacturing Company and is focused on servicing electronics in the Heavy Duty, Hybrid, Wind, and Medical markets.
